We love our volunteers! Dependable volunteers make our trials fun and run smoothly! We can’t put on our trials without their help! Would you like to get involved? Just contact us at dogblessedllc@gmail.com or a trial secretary listed on our event premiums. We offer the following to thank our wonderful volunteers:

1. Dog Blessed Worker Bucks: One worker buck for each role filled. More than one role can often be done at a time. Each worker buck can be redeemed for $1 off a future entry or a $1 donation to your favorite dog rescue. Signup sheets are available before or at every trial.

Set Up: Help unload trial supplies and set up.

Pack Up: Tear down and pack up supplies after trial.

Timer: Start and stop timer for each run. Sound buzzer if dog exceeds allowed time. Provide time to scribe.

Gate Steward: Get dogs in order and communicate which dog is on the line to run next. Responsible for making sure a dog is available and ready to run so trial runs smoothly.

Cold Box Steward (Nosework): Assists judge, as directed, with moving items that do not contain odor. This roll is often the gate steward also.

Scribing (Agility): Document scoring from judge and time from timer for each run. 

Bar Setters (Agility): Replace bars that dogs knock off jumps and change their height as judge indicates. 

Course Building (Agility): Set up and fix courses to judge’s specifications. 

2. Discounted Entries: Entry for one dog at $5/run at that trial: 

Marshal (Speedway): Approved CPE Marshal willing to help set up one hour before the trial start time, change courses, marshal/scribe the runs, and pack up equipment after the trial. Typically two designated per ring. (To become an approved CPE Marshall a virtual training session provided by CPE is required.)

Lead Course Builder (Agility): Ensures courses are set up to judge’s specifications for entire trial. Leads others helping to ensure trial runs smoothly. Typically one per trial. 

Additionally, Secretary, Chairperson, & Judging roles are sometimes available on an as needed basis.
